Production of alcoholic beverages is an ancient industry in India with a history that runs nearly parallel to the history of the nation itself. From modest beginnings as a small blending and bottling unit under their late founder, Shri Radhakrishna Jagdale, Amrut Distilleries has, in the decades since, seen quantum improvements in the art of distillation of high quality malt and grape brandies.
Each day more than 600 people are diagnosed and start treatment for leprosy – over 50 will be children. However, millions more are living undiagnosed with the disease today, leading to increasing damage the longer it’s left. With increased awareness and support, Lepra can reach more people and achieve the global goal to beat leprosy. World Leprosy Day is 29th January.
