Boisdale members and invited guests will be treated to a truly Scottish evening, tasting six different award winning haggis including Boisdale’s very own haggis prepared by Chris Zachwieja and Andy Rose, alongside six different whisky expressions.
Guests will be invited to vote for their favourite haggis based on texture, taste and aroma and favourite whisky and guess which whisky is which as well as vote for their favourite whisky and haggis pairing.
Hosted by Jock Wishart - maritime and polar adventurer, sportsman and explorer who is also a descendant of Scotland's national bard Robert Burns and Phil Huckle - UK Brand Ambassador for Chivas & The Glenlivet.
Whiskies being tasted on the night are as follows; -
The Glenlivet Nadurra American Cask – Nadurra translate to natural from Gallic to English. A cask strength whisky aged in first fill American casks from the famous Glenlivet distillery. Tropical fruit and citrus flavours dominate.
Chivas Regal 18yr – The world’s top selling 18yr old Scotch whisky. Rich smooth and sumptuous. Notes of dark chocolate, buttery toffee & dried fruit.
Scapa Skiren – Small perfectly formed distillery from the Orkney Islands. Smooth easy drinking Malt – honey, sweet salt, citrus.
The Glenlivet 18yr – Classic Speyside style & the star of the range and incredible value. Aged in both Sherry & American casks expect pear drops, summer fruits & floral notes.
Longmorn Distillers Choice – Known as the hidden jewel of Speyside partly because much of this Malt is reserved for Pernod Ricards luxury blends. A rich spicy punchy malt that never disappoints.
Chivas Regal Extra – A recent addition to the Chivas Regal range. A blend of mainly Speyside Malts aged in Oloroso Sherry casks. Rich & very smooth.
